Description
The Whelen Howler Siren enhances warning signals in high-risk areas like intersections by emitting deep, penetrating tones that alert drivers and pedestrians to an approaching vehicle. It is an additional feature, not a replacement for the primary siren, providing an eight-second burst of low-frequency sound useful in heavy traffic or noisy environments. The system includes an amplifier and two speakers, compatible with any 100/200 watt siren amplifier to sync with the primary siren tones. It offers eight-tone durations from 7.5 to 60 seconds and allows frequency selection via Scan-Lock buttons. Two external cancel controls are provided for 12-volt or ground deactivation. Certain vehicles may need single or dual speakers, and the system supports 12 or 24 VDC power sources.
