The UBL 20th Anniversary Firehouse Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is sponsored by Ultra Bright Lightz LLC, 1401 Lincoln Ave, Holbrook, NY Holbrook, NY 11741 ("UBL," "Sponsor," "we," or "us").
The Giveaway is a nomination-based promotion. The winner is the eligible firehouse that receives the greatest number of Valid Nominations, as described in these Rules. The winner is not selected by random drawing, and no element of chance determines the winner. The Giveaway is not a lottery or sweepstakes.
All references to "you" mean the person submitting a nomination (the "Nominator").
Nominators. To nominate, you must be at least 18 years old, and you must provide a valid email address that you control. You may nominate from anywhere, but you may nominate only an Eligible Firehouse.
Eligible Firehouses. An "Eligible Firehouse" is a fire department or fire station physically located in the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states) or the District of Columbia. Firehouses in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories are not eligible. Career, combination, volunteer and fire-district departments may all be nominated, subject to Section 7 (authority to accept a prize).
Self-nomination. Members of a fire department may nominate their own department.
Excluded persons. The following may not submit nominations: employees, officers, owners, contractors, agencies and affiliates of UBL (including its brands, Z-Flash and Ultra Bright Lightz), members of its affiliate or creator programs, any person involved in administering or judging the Giveaway, and the immediate family and household members of each. The Giveaway is also open only where it may lawfully be run; it is void where prohibited.
Giveaway Period. The Giveaway begins on November 2nd 2026 Eastern Time and ends on November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (the "Giveaway Period"). UBL's submission system clock is the official timekeeper. Nominations submitted outside the Giveaway Period do not count.
How to nominate. Visit https://ultrabrightlightz.com/pages/20th-anniversary-firehouse-giveaway, complete the nomination form (firehouse or department name, city, state, ZIP code, your name, your email address, and a short statement of up to 500 characters on why you are nominating the firehouse), and check the box confirming you agree to these Rules. A phone number is optional.
Free to enter. Nominating is free. No purchase, payment or account creation is required. Marketing email consent is optional and has no effect on a nomination or on any firehouse's chance of winning.
One nomination per person. Each person may submit one nomination, for one firehouse, using one email address, during the entire Giveaway Period. Using multiple email addresses, aliases, devices or identities to submit more than one nomination is prohibited, and the additional nominations will not count.
"Firehouse" and "department." For counting purposes, nominations are grouped by fire department or fire company, not by individual station building. If a department has more than one station and nominations name different stations, UBL may combine them under the department, using the department's official name and municipality. If a nominator names a specific station, the winning prize is delivered to the department, which decides how to use it.
"Valid Nomination." A nomination is valid only if all of the following are true:
Verification. UBL will review nominations before determining the winner. Verification may include confirming email addresses, removing duplicate or suspicious entries (for example, repeated submissions from the same device or network, disposable email addresses, or unusual spikes in volume), and confirming that a department exists and is eligible. UBL may request reasonable documentation from a nominator or department. A nomination that fails verification does not count.
Permitted. Fire departments, their members and the public may encourage genuine nominations through unpaid, organic outreach: social media posts, department websites, newsletters, email, word of mouth and community events.
Prohibited. The following are not allowed and may lead to disqualification of the affected nominations or the department:
UBL decides, in its reasonable discretion, whether conduct violates this Section. UBL is not responsible for the actions of people it does not control, and may disregard suspicious nominations without disqualifying a department that did not engage in or encourage the conduct.
Disclosure. Anyone who promotes the Giveaway in exchange for compensation, free product or any other benefit from UBL (including creators and affiliates) must clearly disclose that relationship in the promotion.
How the winner is determined. After the Giveaway Period ends, UBL will count Valid Nominations. The Eligible Firehouse with the highest number of Valid Nominations is the winner, subject to verification and to Section 7. UBL will determine the winner on December 7, 2026.
Tiebreaker. If two or more departments tie, the tied department whose first Valid Nomination was received earliest, according to UBL's submission-system timestamps, is the winner. Those timestamps are the official record.
Final decisions. UBL's decisions on the validity of nominations, eligibility, counting, ties and disqualification are final and binding on all matters relating to the Giveaway, except where prohibited by law.
Integrity fallback. If UBL reasonably concludes that fraud, technical failure or other manipulation has materially affected the nomination totals, UBL may remove the affected nominations and recount. If a reliable count cannot be made, UBL may, at its discretion, award the prize to the eligible department whose remaining Valid Nominations are the highest after removal, or may cancel the Giveaway under Section 12.
Odds. The winner is determined by the number of Valid Nominations received, not by chance. The odds of any department winning depend on the number of Valid Nominations it receives relative to other departments.
Announcement and notice. UBL plans to announce the winning department on December 7, 2026, by email to UBL subscribers and on UBL's official social media channels, and will contact the winning department directly using the contact information provided in nominations or publicly available information. UBL may also publish the final nomination count.
Acceptance. The winning department must confirm its eligibility and accept the prize within 14 calendar days after UBL's direct notification, and must return a signed acceptance form (the "Acceptance Form") in which an authorized representative confirms the points below.
Authority to accept. The Acceptance Form must confirm that:
UBL may request reasonable documentation of the department's identity, location and authority.
Alternate winner. If the winning department cannot be reached, does not respond or return the Acceptance Form within the deadline, declines the prize, is not permitted to accept it, or is determined to be ineligible, UBL may award the prize to the Eligible Firehouse with the next-highest number of Valid Nominations, applying the same tiebreaker if needed. UBL is not required to make more than three attempts to award the prize.
Grand Prize (one winner). The 20th Anniversary Lighting Bundle, consisting of:
Approximate retail value (ARV): $439.75. The ARV is UBL's good-faith estimate at the time these Rules were written. Actual retail value may differ with market changes, and UBL is not required to award any difference.
Prize conditions.
Lawful use of warning, flashing and auxiliary lighting. Laws governing the use, color, mounting and operation of flashing, warning and auxiliary lights on vehicles vary by state and locality, and often depend on the vehicle type and the user's authorization. The winning department is solely responsible for determining whether any prize item may lawfully be installed and used on a given vehicle, for obtaining any required authorization or permits, and for installing and using the items safely and lawfully. UBL makes no representation that any item is legal for use on any particular vehicle or in any jurisdiction, and has no liability for non-compliant use.
Taxes. The winning department is solely responsible for any federal, state and local taxes on the prize. UBL may require tax information and will file any information returns that the law requires. UBL does not provide tax advice.
Publicity. As a condition of receiving the prize, the winning department agrees, to the extent permitted by law, that UBL may use its name, logo, city and state, photographs and statements about the prize in connection with the Giveaway and UBL's marketing, in any media, without additional compensation, notice or approval, except where prohibited by law. UBL will not imply that the department endorses UBL's products beyond its own statements. Public-entity departments should confirm this use with their governing body before accepting.
Nominator content. By submitting a nomination, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to submit it. You grant UBL a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce and display the "why I'm nominating" statement, with your first name and the department's name, in connection with the Giveaway and related marketing. UBL will not publish your email address or phone number.
UBL collects the information in the nomination form to run the Giveaway: to verify and count nominations, prevent fraud, contact the winning department, and communicate with nominators about their nomination. Information is handled according to UBL's Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Rules.
UBL will send marketing emails only if you check the separate, optional box on the form (which is not pre-checked) and you may unsubscribe at any time. Consent to marketing is not required to nominate and does not affect any nomination.
UBL does not sell nominators' personal information and will share it only with service providers that help administer the Giveaway, as needed to comply with law, or as described in the Privacy Policy. Nominators may contact info@ultrabrightlightz.com to ask about their data.
Release. By nominating, and (for the winning department) by accepting the prize, you and the department release and hold harmless UBL, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, advertising and promotion agencies, and service providers (the "Released Parties") from any claims, damages, losses or liabilities arising from participation in the Giveaway, the acceptance, possession, installation, use or misuse of the prize, or any related publicity, except for claims that cannot be released by law.
No warranty. The prize is provided "as is." Except for any manufacturer's warranty that applies to a prize item, UBL makes no warranty of any kind about the prize, including its fitness for a particular purpose, compatibility, or legality of use on a particular vehicle.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties are not responsible for: late, lost, misdirected, incomplete or unintelligible nominations; technical, hardware, software, network or internet failures; errors in these Rules or in any announcement; injury, loss or damage to person or property from participation or from the prize; or any use of the prize in violation of law. To the extent permitted by law, the Released Parties' total liability to any person for any claim relating to the Giveaway will not exceed the retail value of the prize.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
UBL reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend or modify the Giveaway (including dates) if fraud, technical failure, a force majeure event (such as natural disaster, public health emergency, government action or utility or network failure), or any other cause beyond its reasonable control prevents the Giveaway from being run as planned or compromises its fairness or integrity. Any change will be posted on the Giveaway page. If the Giveaway is cancelled, UBL may award the prize based on the Valid Nominations received before the cancellation, if a reliable count is available.
UBL may disqualify any nomination, person or department that it reasonably believes has violated these Rules, tampered with the nomination process, acted in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or provided false information. Attempts to damage the website or undermine the operation of the Giveaway may violate criminal and civil laws; UBL may seek damages and other remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Governing law and venue. The Giveaway and these Rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited, any dispute arising from the Giveaway will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. All claims must be brought individually and not as a class action.
Social media. The Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn or any other social media platform. You provide your information to UBL, not to any platform. Fire departments are not affiliated with or sponsoring the Giveaway unless a department states otherwise in writing.
Severability. If any part of these Rules is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
